He grew a very poisonous plant in the center of the garden. It was the chief treasure of Dr. Rappaccini. It was the heart of the garden. He called it sister plant of the Beatrice. Because both the plant and Beatrice were born at the same day. The plant was so poisonous that even one drop of it could kill any living beings. Beatrice has in healed so much poison from it. As result she had also become poisonous.
Dr. Rappaccini was cruel person. He was ready even to sacrifice his own daughter for the sake of his experiment. He was suffering from the craze for making his daughter poisonous like his poisonous plant. When Beatrice drank a draught of antidote, it proved death for her.
So we see that nature does not forgive any such fellow who whishes to change its course. Nature does not like the idea of Dr. Rappaccini. So it takes revenge and Beatrice dies Dr. Rappaccini remains remorseful for the whole life. It is exactly to that given story is a science fiction or fantasy.
